Beyond the chunky opening 20' 5.9 R section (which I did at about C2), the aid on this pitch is straightforward - the high stepping is definitely not required. It's still exciting to see bits of sand being liberated from the rock by your offset nut or microcam as you weight it :)

Yeah, it felt very much like C1 to me but I was wondering HOW it was freed at all.....I mean, you're aiding on micro stuff in this sandstone which is only a small step better quality than the stuff in the Fishers IMHO (bal*sy to say the least). The book puts parts of this crack at 11+ and only a short section at 13a.
