Piz Lunghin
I started early in the morning at Maloja and climbed it via the Longhin lake and pass in about three hours time, in pretty cold, but clear weather. I went down via Grevasalvas to Plaun da Lej on the lake of Sils. A lovely and entirely unproblematic hike!

Second attempt successful
Strated in Cassacia in Bergell and hiked along the old Septimerpass Trail towards the pass, then on to Pass Lunghin and by the west ridge to Lunghin. No ice on the last 20m so we finally made it.

Not quite
Intended to hike to Lägh dal Lunghin since it had snowed two days before and the summits were still under a snow and ice cover. Headed onwards to Pass Lunghin (three way water divide) and from there tackled Piz Lunghin. Hiked the south-west ridge, then headed up into the west face, did the final traverse to the south 15m beneath the summit but got stuck there. The final gully was covered with ice. Might have reached the summit still but it was unclear whether we would be able to descend without any protective equipment. Returned back to the south-west ridge where we were visited by an ibex girl and a bearded vulture almost simultaneously.

Piz Lunghin
Ski tour from Val Gavreta (Bivio) to Piz Dal Sasc and Piz Lunghin. Nice but windy weather. Excellent views on Bergell and mountians on Swiss-Italian border (i.e. Badile and Cengalo).
