Plata Expedition

Stream at Campo La Hoyada 4600m – undrinkable due to mineral contamination in 2016. This was the worst of the running water sources we found (of those reputed to be drinkable) - although in previous years it was reputed to be better than down at Salto (where it was tolerable but unpleasant tasting due to mineral content). For the one night we spent at La Hoyada we melted snow for water.
