As for your son, try perhaps to take him to something entertaining (via ferrata, suspended forest, rafting ? :)
Having said that I hope Mikolaj will love hiking like we do ! (for the moment he does...)
It is near Znojmo, not too far from Mikulov /just slighty west/, by the way this park is great for cycling...

Thanks. It is a little bit different compare to US national parks. You see civilization everywhere... but it is a nice place to escape from over crowded Europe.
