Predol gorge

Near "Napoleon Bridge" over Nadiža river an interesting gorge starts, delimiting the summit of Mija from the neighbouring Vogel. It is said, that the river was once flowing through this gorge, but the tectonic forces raised it a bit, so now the river goes around Mija. The gorge is dry, the direct ascent from the Slovenian side is pathless but can be hiked to the highest point. On the other, Italian side, there is a marked path. May, 2012.
