Puhia Pele on approach
The first view of Puhia Pele from the east approach in early March 2007. You're walking along the wooded road with no views thinking, where is this here volcanic feature? Then suddenly around a bend you see a black mass in the distance. You know this isn't vegetation. It's something very much devoid of it.
