Punk Rock Spire

Punk Rock Spire

Punk Rock Spire is named for the "punky character" of the red sandstone, typically seen on the southern side of Lee Mountain. Actually, this "sister" of Oak Creek Spire has a notable lean to the north. I doubt if this one is climbed more often than Oak Creek Spire. The approach to Punk Rock Spire includes bushwhacking through manzanita, catclaw, Crucifixion Thorn, and crossing a steep-walled wash filled with sleeping rattlesnakes that suddenly awake when the weather warms up. Re: Amazing !

I was just discussing this subject with my
Polish (cyberspace) friend.

Language is a very challenging subject. To
some, it's even more challenging than the
mountain itself.

It's really hard to get the "feel" for a
country and its people. A person would have
to be a world traveler to experience the
truest meaning of what living is all about.

If there should be ONE language for everybody, it should be the language of LOVE!

Amazing!!!

Thanks Larry, also for this pic and rock. I'm not a big fan of punk rock but there are masterpieces within (almost) each genre.
