Re: WHAT IS

I haven't seen it named on any maps. I guess that means we can call it whatever we want! ;)

Steamboat Rock in Echo Park?

Is it?

Re: Steamboat Rock in Echo Park?

No, it's not. That's an unnamed peak in the Jones Hole region. The Sage Creek trail (overgrown) goes up the drainage to the left, Big Draw comes down to the right, and the Labyrinth is off (out of sight) even farther to the right. The photographer is standing in the Ely Creek drainage.

Echo Park is about five river miles away, but it will take you almost four hours to drive there from here.

Jones'n

Thank you so much for sharing- a Colorado NM staff member recommended going to Jone's Hole, among other places in Dinosaur. The website doesn't show this stellar scenery... So I almost went to Echo this Memorial weekend, but now I surely will visit Jone's. I can't hike far yet at all, so I love accessible beauty right now. bla bla bla, Thanks again!
