I bet the beloved wife just loved all of that splendidly loose and red San Juan talus. Well done. This is one of my favorite spots in the SanJuans.

Despite the slippery slope, the beloved wife was the little engine that did...and was happier inching up the talus than riding the scary road!...or perhaps it was MY DRIVING!!!
