Red Mountain Road

Also known as Forest Road 6048 in the Mount Adams Ranger District, Red Mountain Road is an appropriately named road leading to the summit of Red Mountain. The road is closed to public vehicular access. However, the road was recently re-graded and there are plans to include the summit fire lookout as part of a "Recreation Rental" program. Until then, public access to the summit is only via non-motorized methods, such as hike, bike, or horse. Photo taken on October 13, 2013.
