In front of one of the longest glaciers (7 km.) of Ecrins National Park, the Pilatte hut (m.2577) is the perfect base camp to passes and climbs in the area, like Les Bans (m. 3669). The path to get to the hut is a real must hike for the knowledge of the Dauphinè mountains.
