Rime on the Fineilspitze, SSW ridge

To our surprise, there was hardly any snow up here, even though it had been snowing heavily in the Alps a few days before. Apparently the Fineilspitze had received less than some other areas, or it was all blown away from the mountain. However, thanks to the fact that it had been very cold the night before, we came across these rime formations. September 7, 2007.
