Rjavina the hard way
Hiked up the entire Kot Valley with a 30 lbs bag. Started the ascend of the NW route from Pekel with first signs of muscle cramps. Very exposed passages on awfully rotten rocks. Although the most demanding traverses are protected with steel cables, it is better not to trust them too much. Some of the steel bolts currently in place are moving and are not likely to hold a serious fall. Hence, I had to choose handholds with utmost care. Great views from the north ridge did repay for the pain in the legs. Descended on the broad ridge that is facing Triglav. Great mountain!

I climbed Rjavina as a bonus, we came from Vrbanove spice and Triglav.The Stanic hut was not supposed to be opened, but they were rebuilding the stove, so we stayed and climbed Rjavina next day.I remember a very hot descent, the place is not called The Hell for nothing.Next time, I was alone and I repeated the sequence.Rjavina is magnificent,and views, especially on Vrbanove spice side are really something.
