Robert O. Cook Memorial Arboretum, also known as Janesville Outdoor Laboratory, preserves 160 acres of forest on hilly terrain near the city of Janesville, Wisconsin. I have been lucky to have had the hills close to my house where for the past 24 years, I have been going to enjoy the scenery and keep in shape for my hiking trips west. Of all the magnificent places that I have been to, Robert Cook Forest holds a special place in my heart. As of this writing (January 2024), I estimate that I have been there close to 800 times. Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter each have their own charm. Deep snow, however, makes it most scenic.
These are some of my pictures from a hike in January of 2024.
Parents refers to a larger category under which an object falls. For example, theAconcagua mountain page has the 'Aconcagua Group' and the 'Seven Summits' asparents and is a parent itself to many routes, photos, and Trip Reports.
