Parked at the parking area on the right before Summit Lake. Hiked Rogers first and then Warren to figure out which was the actual summit.

Ptarmigans and Ptarmigans!
Hiked it with my wife. Started at the upper Mt. Goliath parking lot. After we got above 12,700 feet we saw a Ptarmigan with her baby. We scared the baby pretty bad as it flew away. Happened so fast I could not even think about getting my camera. Moments later we saw what was presumably the dad. Then we saw another one further up, then another one! On the way down we saw one in the same vicinity as one of them, we guess we already saw that one, then later on saw another one. Could not believe all the Ptarmigans up there. What a treat!
We really enjoyed the summit boulder and the view on top. Great hike, loved it.
Together with Spalding, Grey Wolf, Warren....great training hike!

Twice From Echo Lake
12/11/09 - Started from Echo Lake and snowshoed directly up to meet the Mt. Evans road at 11,800 ft (cutting a few of the big switchbacks). Stashed the shoes at treeline and climbed Rogers and then Warren.
1/2/11 - I'm a glutton for punishment and repeated Rogers & Warren for the winter tick along with Mount Evans. Wind was horrible.

Crack-a-dawn hike
Early morning, pre-work hike to the summit. Very cool!
scooted over to rogers during the intermittent rain showers. the mist was disorienting but the noise from the road kept it from being problematic.

Warren, then Rogers
Started at Summit Lake and hiked up Warren and then headed over to Rogers. On the way to Rogers we saw 6 mountain goats. Beautiful day, with snow on the ground. then returned the way we came, but bypassed Warren on the return.
Climbed solo as part of a long ridge tour from Echo Lake - Goliath to Rogers to Warren to Spalding to Gray Wolf back to Echo Lake. Great warm spring day with plenty of sunshine! The road was still closed giving the place an eerie solitude.
Hiked the road for almost 5 miles and headed up. This probably ended up being about a 13+ mile day. Not too bad considering I'm getting over bronchitis! HA!
