Russet Cotton-grass (Eriophorum chamissonis)
Russet cotton-grass is a circumboreal species that extends south to the Great Lake States, the northwest and to Colorado in the Rocky Mountains. It is considered rare much of its southern range. Photo is from Armstrong Meadows of northern Idaho. July 1995
