Russula atropurpurea

Russula atropurpurea ( in Polish: Golabek Ciemnopurpurowy) can be found in both coniferous and deciduous forests even as late as November. It is a dark purple mushroom with a medium size cap of 5-10 cm and firm flesh. Its stem is white, sometimes pink tinted and grayish when old. Russula atropurpurea does not have a strong odor.
