Rut

Rut is a picturesque village on the southern side of South Bohinj Range. The most popular mountain above it is Rodica. Rut was in the medieval ages an island of German speaking immigrants from Tirol, from near Innichen. It was a centre of a dozen of villages and hamlets since the 13th century on. Nowadays those people are almost completely assimilated with Slovenian people, bit some specifics in dialect and of course many toponymes are reminding on their origin.
