Trail hike. Hot. Nice peak.
First stop on Bridger Ridge
Oct summits in this range have become a tradition.. did hardscrabble, sacagawea, and naya nuki.
Not too much effort required to bag the HP of the Bridgers via the standard route. Probably one of the highest "bang-for-your-buck" peaks in MT.
Only two hours and fifty minutes from the parking lot but I had to park at the lower lot because of a crater in the road that required high clearance. Added another hour of walking up but someone gave me a ride down only a few minutes from the upper lot. Did it with Naya Nuki.
This peak was a blast. Short, sweet and awesome views. We climbed Pomp as well. The only negative was the outhouse at the trailhead that was in severe, really severe, need of being pumped...
Hiked in the clouds the whole time. Cold on summit. Not the best day, but it was quick. We parked well below Fairy Lake TH and walked a ways up the road.
Great hike, also did Pomp Peak and Hardscrabble Peak.
Nice day. Lots of deer off the west side
Pretty fun. Saw goats and also walked out to Naya Nuki. First time in these mts.
Got up and down before the hoards closed in. Lots of people and lots of dogs. Twas real windy and cold and that sent lots of folks running for cover. Great day. Saw three goats at the summit.
We accompanied Jim E. and his son Devin as they scattered some of Edward E.'s ashes to the wind. Edward lost his life climbing in Alaska.
Very popular hike. Saw 15+ mountain goats and a great top down view of the Bridgers. I recommend taking a light, and going in the early evening. Less foot traffic, and more colors.
There are no words to describe the overwhelming feeling of serenity on the ridge and summits of this range overlooking my home town.
Great peak that is popular. It was a windy and cloudy day but no rain. There were mountain goats all over the slopes below the summit.
Saw lots of sheeps
With Alana. Great quick summit hike. Road to TH needs a lot of work, though. Goats are habituated.
Nice morning hike...amazing how there was no snow in the beginning of July
A nice easy walk, it's easy to see why Sacagawea is so popular. Haze from wildfires ruined the long distance views but the nearby scenery was still nice.
