Took the AT up from RT 4. Lots of snow, wind, cold, and limited visibility . Rime ice everywhere. Did I mention wind? Need to go back for The Horn and to check out the views.
One of my favorite peaks on the entire AT. Great blueberries, open views, lakes down below. It just doesn't get any better than Maine late in the summer when the blackflies are gone.
Kris, Dan and I made it to the top (after our trip over White Cap Mtn, Chairback Mtn, Barren Mtn, Moxie Bald Mtn, Bigelow Mtn, Crocker Mtn. and Spaulding Mtn). Great company and a memorable trip.
