Fire Road
Just a few years after the fire scorched this area, I drove the fire road (sorry, yes, drove...shame on me) in my old 4x4. My friend Lynn got sea-sick from the 4-low wave-like motion over the rocks (Sorry, Lynn...) We headed back that night to our campsite in Bandalier, where we alerted the ranger to areas where their controlled burn seems to have gotten out of control. Sadly, shortly after our departure, large swaths of Bandalier went up in smoke. Partner: Lynn.

Long Day
An easy way to finish a long day. Climbed Cerro Grande, Boundary Peak, and Cerro Pichaco prior to this summit.

Rough Trip
Couldn't find the road to the trailhead because it was closed for some strange reason in the morning. I had to haul my bike on my shoulders out of Cochiti Canyon to get to the start of the trail. Made it back in the dark after taking the correct road down to the golf course where my uncle had to pick me up.
