Not a 6000er
Hiked up to a campsite at 4,750m from Termas de Puritama (3,500m). The next morning got a free ride to 5,650m from a passing guide in his 4x4 (much appreciated). The summit is just 1km & a little over 300m in elevation from the 4x4 drop off point, but it's a difficult hike & scramble due to the altitude. Great views of three countries from the top. Descended to my tent after summiting, then after resting descended further to a campsite near the main road. Hitched back to San Pedro the next day. Not sure I would have made the summit without the ride in the 4x4. My GPS (which usually over-reads by 30-40m) had the summit at 5,996m. Elsewhere online the height is given as 5,971m, the agencies in San Pedro advertise it as 6,006m to sell more tours.

Cycle Traverse
It took 2 days to cycle from San Pedro to the telescope. It was possible to cycle most of the way to 5400m and then we had to push the bikes. From the telescope we summitted in a couple of hours and descended back to our bikes. From here we pushed the bikes south towards Licancabur and descended on a little used track with views of Laguna verde. We carried all our water from San Pedro because the water on the peak is contaminated with sulphur.

Measured 6007m
Got all the tips with Parofes and made it to the summit. Easy mountain.
Measured up in the summit 6007m with garmin 60cx, all satelites working together to measure the volcano.

Sairecabur
2.5 miles round trip from trailhead at 18392 feet to summit at 19758 feet (6022 meters by Garmin eTrex Vista HCx GPS) and return. From truck to summit and return took nearly 7 hours. Not easy, but well worth the effort for the views of Licancabur and into Bolivia.

Easy day
Easy hike up with guide Christian and two Chilean miners Rene and Jose. I was acclimated from my travels in Peru and Bolivia so had no problems tagging the summit. Amazing views into Chile, Argentina and Bolivia. My first 6000m peak (though there is debate about whether or not peak actually measures 6000+ meters.

It was a cold day at the time, close frostbite at my nose, scary back then. But i did it!
