Salmon Mountain Lookout

The Salmon Mountain Lookout provides extensive views into the Salmon and Selway basins of north central Idaho. The mid and southern Bitterroots of Montana are also a great sight from here. This lookout, built in 1949, is one of the relatively few still in operation. July 2009

What a shame. Only a small percentage of them left and they aren't building new ones.
