Good day out. lots of scree but a pleasent day all the same.
The more interesting route for me would be the corridoor route, then return via Broad crag and Esk Hause. Winter up via Great Ends gullies. Crampons Axes an rope in use. Climbed into Custs Gully on a dull misty morning with Johnathan...........dead end, just as Wainwright said, try the branch gully to the right. The top part is the only place that lets the mountain down .....a bit less interesting.
