Scarlet Paintbrush (Castilleja miniata)
Typically Castilleja miniata is scarlet or deep red in color. However, in some areas it can be highly variable. Plants can range from white, yellow, pinkish and orange. East of Glacier National Park, where this picture was taken, several colors exist in the same general area. July 1997
