Nice moderate peak  Sucess!

What I liked about this peak is that it was a great hike with no PITA part. Usually, every NV peak has at least one PITA part- a sketchy road in, a hairy exposed section, a bitchy talus stretch. Not on Seaman- every part of this one was straightforward and enjoyable.

I hit this peak on the way home to SLC from Vegas; it attracted me because of both the ponderosa forest up top, and in that it's the first interesting peak North of the creosote-line (around Hiko, ~20 miles South)

I took the direct route straight up the South-facing drainage. I expected to encounter tougher talus near the ridge, but never really did. The ponderosa forest up top is a delight, and I snacked on pine nuts throughout the hike- including on the summit. It took about 2 hours up, at a steady, but not on-a-mission pace.

BTW. a passenger car can easily make it past the indicated 2WD TH at the South end of the "diamond", up to the junction at the West vertex of the "diamond" (by a large obvious water tank.) From here, it's around 2 miles to the North vertex, and this last part is barely 4WD- a Subaru would make it easily. (I did not check out the East side of the "diamond.")
