The State Park of the Mountain range of the Brigadier General is in the Zone of Mata, in the southwest of Minas Gerais, the 330 km of Belo Horizonte. It occupies an area of 32,5 a thousand hectares, divided between seven cities: Fervedouro, Open-Field, Araponga, Matipó, Ervália, Miradouro and Muriaé. It has an only road that it cuts to the park, binding the cities of Araponga and Fervedouro, to the edges of the highway River-Bahia, with stretches in precarious state of conservation. The park is located the 230 km of Juiz De Fora and 60 km of Viçosa and Carangola
