Signing his first register

My 9 year old grandson was pretty excited to sign his first register. His comments about how "fun" it was to hike 5 miles in the snow and that he couldn't wait until his next peak leads me to believe that he is hooked already. 10-6-07

It was fun to watch him and also because I don't get to do much (in the mountains) with any of my grandkids.

Snow in Oregon? Of course Oregon gets snow, a lot of it. However, this year, snow seems to be scarce everywhere. We did have some snow on this hike, which was a real plus for my grandson, he felt like he really accomplished something (and he did). thanks for you nice comments.
