Smoky evening reflection

Smoky evening reflection

This was taken from our camp right next to Island Lake on our approach to Gannett. The reflection isn't actually the sunset, but the red light filtering through the smoke from the nearby Pinedale wildfire that burned more than 11,000 acres.

Crystal Clear

The kind of photo taken by surprise. Chugging along on the route and then, BOOM!
Thanks.

Re: Crystal Clear

Thanks. It was pretty enough that we dropped our packs close by and made camp.

Re: Love it.

Thanks much! The scale is a little deceiving...the shot was taken from about a foot above the water and the islands are only about a foot across.

Re: Love it.

With the angle you achieved it appears as though the islands "may be floating in the sky. Enjoyed the view. Thanks for sharing.

Great Shot!

I've been comparing your shots to mine, we were both there at the same time during the fire, and we both have many of the same shots but I missed this one. one of the best in the bunch!
