Sounds like a fun trip. That whole area is really cool (except Escondido ridge, I hate that thing so much), did you get a chance to see the waterfall that comes off from Chikamin Lake, its crazy, like most of the stuff out there. I almost wandered off of it on a similar trip. Anyways, good one!
hey, thanks jordan! i did see that waterfall, and took a picture, but that was around the time my camera started sucking... i kinda like escondido though, at least the south side. i know the switchbacks make it take WAY TOO LONG, but the views are rad higher up. dropping down into waptus sucks though... usually so brushy.
Yeah, I wouldn't know what the view is like; I did it in the dark. Waptus sucks because they could just as easily have dropped the trail down direct, but instead it dicks around for a while through the brush, oh well, I guess that what you get on the PCT.
