Snowboarding from Mellenthin La Sal Mountains of Utah by Ross Schnell

Family trip on the La Sal's Mellenthin above the searing Utah heat in late April. I was on snowboard, brother Dirk on AT skis, and Ross on Telemark. No bigggie between us. That whole pretentious and sgregated ski/board culture...Whats that all about, its sleeding on your feet and trying to do it with style...big deal, very fun, but not at the exclusion of others fun ride. Anyway... We Anderschnells pretty much do it all and love it all. I even kept up pretty well on the flats by skooting alot. Just enough pitch that I only unstrapped twice to come over some mellow rolls.
