Snowdon Peak & its SW Ridge

Snowdon Peak & its SW Ridge

Snowdon Peak as seen from the Snowdon - "South Snowdon" saddle. The difficulties of the southwest ridge are visible. The crux is the snow filled gully just above the saddle. It is reportedly 5th class when dry, but we overcame it with 3rd class scrambling and a careful traverse across the snow. West Needle Mountains, Colorado. June 2008.

A great photo!

You had astonishingly clear weather that day, I can see! And your camera is excellent!
