What an amazing and complex route. My favorite climb of the year. We explored some variations so we could see more of the mountain. South of the terrible traverse the way was blocked by an unseasonable snow slope. We free climbed a pitch of mid fifth class to get around it.
Wasnt' feeling strong that day and there was just enough snow to make bad footing and hide rock placement, but not enough to place pickets. Turned around at the notch.
