Have topped out this pass twice now trying to summit Agassiz... foiled by weather and late starts both times. One day I'll try a third.
Views of the Dusy are inspiring, and even better with a little scramble up the mountainside. Even the wildflowers and mountain views on the approach alone are worth it.

First foray into the High Sierra
Hiked on July 28, 2015, on the way to may unsuccessful attempt on Agassiz. The trail was spectacular and made the journey well worth it despite my failing to summit Agassiz.

Great trail
Many options from the trail head at South Lake. Views from Bishop Pass into Dusy Basin are very impressive.

Fast TrailGets you to a lot of places, fast. Sucks when you have to park a mile down the road though when the overnight parking lot is full!
