Thanks Brenta for the good critique. The Arapaho page was one of my first pages and back then I was a different kind of writer. I tended to over emphasize things, thus the bad choice in words like "enormous" to descrie that glacier. I'll make the correction soon.
Great page! I don't know how I've missed voting on it for this long.
North Arapaho is the King of IPW...and this page shows it! I have a comment about the description of the traverse. Is there a route via the South-North ridge other than the route that takes you throught the last gulley/couloir up to the summit? That gulley appeared to be more difficult than even a class 4 due to the danger of rock slides, but I don't think this section was described well in the page. The impression I got is that the traverse was a mildly exposed scramble, and up to that last gulley, this assesment is true. Thoughts?
I'll go back and read my description, I wrote it up a long time ago and sometimes perspectives change over time. However, I do not remember that short gully causing too much trouble.
Lost Canon camera, possibly in black case. Camera would be somewhere between 4th of july parking lot and Skywalker couloir. Thanks everyone.
Snow pack on Skywalker was fantastic June 8th. Softened up around 11 am for ski descent down
