Hi Noondueler,

Regarding the reason for Squaw Peak's flat top, I read in a ski guide (Squallywood) that the Federal Aviation Administration blasted the top in the 60s to install navigational aids.

Thanks yorb. I saw the radio range on top and figured that or the 60 Olympics had something to do with it. I'll put that info on the page.

I would not have chosen Squaw Peak as a destination had I not had my interest peaked by your page. Thank you! Thank you for a wonderful experience getting there the hard way, and for a fascinating time on the top. That must've been quite a sight to see as they flattened that place back in the day.
