Stairway to Heaven?

Stairway to Heaven?

Interesting use of stairs and ramps, making our jaunt quite easy. 9/16/08.

Re: Hey

The ramps and stairs keep the hands clean compared to scrambling up scree!

What ??

How come the major "high mountain" trails of
North America don't have something like this??

Trina, those ramps and stairs aren't relics
(leftover) from World War II, are they?

How safe did you feel? Just wonderin'.

Cheers from Larry.

Re: What ??

Hmmm. The answer to the first question is an opinion: We don't fund our national parks like we should, plus making the trails too easy by placing ramps and stairs would take away from the natural experience??
Second question: I don't know, but I seriously doubt it.
Third question: I did jump up and down on the steel grates and didn't fall through : ) . They are not secured to the elevated platform and rest on rails. There were discarded grates and stairs nearby, damaged I imagine from rock fall and/or avalanche, snow fall?
Thanks for assuming I know all!
Cheers, Trina

Ha, ha ...... : )))

I'm grateful that you haven't lost your humor!!

No further questions, but one final comment:

"The North Face of ANY mountain is a very
cold and unforgiving thing to behold!!!
