Great String of Peaks
I wouldn't be able to do this peak unless it was comboed with another like Buck and Albright.

30 mile Teton Range loop, including summiting Static Peak
Climbed Static Peak as part of a 30 mile hike from Death Canyon, up Static, down to Alaska Basin, over Hurricane Pass, and out Cascade Canyon, all in one day. It was an amazing trip, and the view from the summit of Static of Buck Mountain and the Cathedral Group was incredible.

Excellent Climb
Made this climb on the second day of a 5 day backpacking trip along the crest. Great views, although smoke obscured quite a bit of the distant scenery. The view of the cathedral, however, was the most stunning I've found along the entire crest. Well worth the climb

quick side hike
Did this as a quick side trip on an overnight loop, Death Canyon to Alaska Basin.
Hiked this one a few times, once with my parents in their 60's; it was all they wanted for a day. Although all on trail, this is a very long approach hike. For those in reasonable shape, if you persevere, you can make it. Buck Mountain is very impressive and massive looking from Static Peak's summit.

Full-on expedition from the west
we climbed it over 4 day expedition with 2 teams of 6 people from the west with a ton of snow and bad weather. the 1st team turned around after a forced bivouac on hurricane pass. We (the 2nd team) went cascade canyon>hurricane pass>alaska basin>static peak>albright peak>stewart draw. summited at sunrise from the west then had a bushwhack of epic proportions down the east face that involved a lot of glissading and roped stream crossings. hella fun!
Did this as my first peak in the Tetons after moving from Alaska. Wonderful day hike and warm, bluebird weather despite being late October. Great views all around-- can't wait to come back and hike in this area some more!

Traverse from Albright to Buck
An easy hike from the Static Divide, then a hideously loose ridge traverse to the Buck saddle. Trip report.

Static
Death Canyon is really pretty. The trail up to the divide is nice and gradual. From the summit, I enjoyed the views of Buck Mountain and also Rimrock Lake. Hiking to Static Peak is great way to spend a day in the Tetons.
I have hiked the trail up Static many times and it is one of the best trail hikes anywhere. The Teton Park trails are some of the best constructed trails I have ever hiked on. The last time I was up there my wife was talking to her family in Colombia from the summit, technology, there was nobody up there to bother. She still says it is one of her favorite hikes.

Static Peak
Did this as a day hike . It is a short distance from Static Peak Divide but from Death Canyon it is a pretty good hike. The weather was nice so the views from the top were great. I’ve been up Death Canyon many times and I always see moose in the area.

From Death Canyon
The last day of my first real trip to the Tetons (a four day trip). Started pretty late (~11 am), but with good weather it was no problem. Got down by about 6 pm and drove home to Salt Lake City. Saw a moose in Death Canyon, which seems to be a very common thing. Only saw two other groups once I took the fork out of lower Death Canyon.

Fun, long Hike
I am told that some members of our hiking party thought I had intentionally understated the true length of this hike. It is a long hike fron the Death Canyon trail head but the trail is wonderful and nice. We saw a black bear 10 feet off the trail near the Phelps Lake overlook, and also saw a moose and a pika on this climb. We summited just as it started getting thundery.
