Fun Summit
Followed the route as described on SP for the way up. Trail is easy to follow up to the break in the cliffs just past "the rock garden". Beyond that, the walk up the ridge to the Dearborn Benchmark is spectacular. Dropped the saddle to summit Steamboat East then followed the prominent ridge running South back down to the Dearborn 206 trail (ridge merged with trail about 4.5 to 5 miles from TH). Fun day.

A Great Summit
Nobody signs these things anymore, must not be cool. Whatever. Lots of people go up this one, and much thanks to the Diamond Bar X Ranch and the Bible camp (I think), there is a pretty darn good trail most of the way up. Its definitely steep and loose in some spots, though. Like all these summits that are parked right on the edge of the mountains and the plains out on the Front, the views from up top are so incredible as to defy apt description, and those from the Dearborn Benchmark are especially so. Perfect day, perfect weather, perfect mountain. Don't forget about Devils Glen.

Great Views
Hiked up as part of a group from Montana Wilderness School of the Bible from the Deerborn side. Had sweet views of the sun setting in smoke from wildfires deep in the Bob. Always a pleasure being on top of this mountain.

Chilly but fun
We climbed Steamboat in late October. Just a bit of snow up top, but nothing to worry about. The wind was howling like a banshee on the summit, but otherwise a fine day.
