Stirrup Crag from Dore Head
I just scrambled down that ridge, Stirrup Crag, on the northern end of Yewbarrow.
As the sun is low, it's time to put up my tent. Officially wild camping is not allowed in England, but unofficially, in places like the Lake District it is, provided you stay well away from cultivated lands and civilization. Dore Head is high enough for that.
There were a few tiny tarns, but the water was murky and my filter clogged up straight away. Fortunately, the Over Beck originates at Dore Head, and just a couple of minutes away the water in the small stream was clear.
