Arriving at the notch on our way back; just as we prepared to descend the couloir and do the final section of the traverse, the clouds broke for a minute. Our camp would be visible, but is blocked by the protruding piece of mountain at lower right. What looks to be the side of a mountain rising from the lake...is. It is the north face of Wahcheechee Mountain. At this point we are about 1,900 feet above the lake.
