One of my favorites
Adventure,got a late afternoon start, on the way in I walked up on a cinnamon colored black bear scavaging along side the trail,Van Matre meadows may be the must colorful spot in the Trinity Alps. It was hard and fun to make 3 passes in such a short distance. We saw some of the more rare and elusive wildflowers, and a horse almost lose its footing descending Deer Pass. Good times.
