The true summit for Sugarloaf Mountain, located near Anacortes, WA.
Contrary to what the name implies, the Sugarloaf "Summit Trail" does not actually lead to the true summit, but rather a couple of fantastic viewpoints. The true summit, seen in this photo, is atop a short, steep rocky, moss-covered knob that requires some bushwhacking to reach.
I found no USGS benchmark at the true summit... not to suggest there is not one, but if there is it must be covered by many years of moss-cover.
