Sunrise over Jackson Hole

A beautiful pink sunrise from the summit of Static. This was taken at about 5:45am. At that point we had been awake for 4 hours and climbing the whole time. We had taken a route from our high camp in Alaska Basin up the west face, which was mostly snow covered, not to mention slightly steeper and more exposed than the standard route up to Static Peak divide. Adding to our troubles was a lack of crampons, although we had a rope and ice axes. This was a full-blown expedition which took us like 4 days to complete.
