Sunset over the Cascade Valley

Sunset over the Cascade Valley

Outside our tent the atmosphere of the land almost seemed as though alive. This was my first overnight trip in the North Cascades which looming above was Johannesburg which from time to time we would hear avalanches coming down. The moment was so perfect that even years later it has me coming back to this place. This was taken by my mom, which I enjoyed the view while she photographed it. Taken November of 2005 from the trailhead of Cascade Pass. The photo does not do the justice of the moment, because back then we could not afford a digital camera this was taken with a disposable camera. But at the very least I hope this photo gives you an idea of what it looked like, I tried making it look as much as possible as how it looked.

Re: Nothing like...

Agreed! We also had some cold pizza to enjoy as well! The moment was very cold, although it was neat how many warm pockets of air there were.
