Overview
European hike route "Sur les Pas des Huguenots" (France, Italy, Switzerland, Germany).
Nineteenth leg from Biviers to Saint Pancrasse. Chartreuse Range (France).
Getting There
Bus line T 80 from Grenoble to Montbonnot near Biviers. Possible accommodation at Center Saint Hugues in Biviers and Saint Pancrasse. Return from Saint Pancrasse to Grenoble possible by bus.
Route Description
Trail along Chartreuse range south east side so called " L'adret du St Eynard" , part of the "Parc Naturel Regional de Chartreuse", mostly in forests managed and protected by the" Office National des Forêts".
The trail cross several intermitent torrents equiped by dams to limit rockslides.
During the hike one can view Vercors, Chartreuse, Belledonne, Vanoise and Mont Blanc ranges.
Discouraged in rainy conditions (slippery passages). Pack animals are discouraged.
