Hiked this many times from different locations. I like the route from the west (Pacifica) better than from Skyline, because the views of the ocean are wonderful. This hike is not well known, even among locals, but not for lack of merit. It is highly aesthetic, somewhat rigorous, and even a bit mysterious (the NIKE buildings make you wonder).

Sneath Lane
A quick trip up the old road 1.8 miles to the San Francisco Bay Discovery Site. With each foot of elevation gained, the view of the bay increased in beauty. If Jose Francisco Ortega and his scouting party, the first Europeans to see the bay, could see it now, I wonder what they'd think.

Several times a monhMy wife and I hike from Skyline College to the end of the trail (where the San Andreas reservoir watershed property begins) several times a month.
