Traversed these 3 peaks, which are my last major peaks I hadn't yet done in the Chelan Sawtooths. Started at 2pm got back at dark.
On Sunday of Labor Day weekend 2002.
Climbed Switchback, Martin, and Cheops in same day.
With Flanders on our annual BrianSquared trip. Had hiked up Summer Blossom Trail and tagged North Navarre and Horsethief Peak the day earlier. Went down from Surprise Lake where we camped and then up the trail on the east side. Were planning on scrambling over to Martin but didn't find a non-technical route down. Ended up heading down the Angels Staircase Trail and camping at Boiling Lake afterwards. Sunny, nice day.
Hiked in during with Fletcher the evening to middle Eagle Lake and bivied. The next day we traversed from Bigelow to Switchback and then went down to swim in Cooney Lake. We bivied again and hiked out the next morning.
Went up this on a mountain bike ride. Biked to Cooney lake, hiked-a-bike up Angels Staircase. Ditched bike and hiked up Southern ridge to the top.
w/ Martin, car to car. crisp, clear and cold!
