No, we came from the east-flank and the NE-ridge to the summit, which is slightly easier (app. UIAA I and II; the SW-ridge is partly UIAA III).
The atmosphere was really nice, a mixture of sunny and cloudy conditions - fortunatlely the clouds opened a window while we were on the summit and offered a nice view to Aiguille Verte and Mont Blanc for a few moments.
