The 'Alternative Route' up pk...
The 'Alternative Route' up pk 12048 seen from Gold basin. To gain the summit, just head up the prominent gouge in the middle of the photo, then walk up and to the right. Although steep, the ground is nothing but dirt, grass, and rock, making for very stable ground to hike on.
